Can I work on a car in a storage unit?
Yes of course, many of our clients use our storage units as a safe space to work on their vehicles.
Do you need vehicle registration and proof of insurance?
Yes we do, otherwise we have no way of knowing your car belongs to you. We advise you to talk to your insurance provider to secure a better rate while your car is in our self storage unit - especially if you’re not using it.
When is your storage centre open?
Self Storage Centre boasts some of the longest opening hours of any storage facility in Warrington Winsford and the surrounding areas of Cheshire. Our opening times for the storage facility are 6am - 11pm Monday to Sunday, Our Office opening hours for your storage enquiry or to purchase packaging materials is Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.
Any car storing tips?
Yes indeed! We recommend topping off your antifreeze fluids, making sure you register and insure your car before storing with us, and fully inflate your tires.
Can I access my car storage unit outside opening hours?
If you need to arrange extended opening hours to access your storage unit, that’s no problem. Please get in touch with us and we’ll get you sorted.
How do I pay for my car storage unit?
We ask that you pay for your storage unit a month in advance. We take payments over the phone, by direct debit, and online.
Is there a minimum or maximum amount of time I can store my car with you?
Some of our clients have been storing their cars with us for decades! So there is certainly no maximum time period to rent a storage unit. We do however require a minimum rental period of ?.
Do I have to give you notice when I leave?
To avoid paying additional storage we would ask that you give us 1 months notice for moving out your items and closing your self storage account.
Can I come see your storage centre before I decide to rent a unit?
Of Course you can! We would love to show you round our storage facilities so you get a good idea of the size range and type of storage units that we can offer. This is important if utilising for business then you can view the varying sizes which may accommodate you both upscaling or downsizing units in line with your personal or business requirements.
How big are your storage units?
Our storage units vary greatly in size to accommodate a range of cars and can be anything from 25 square feet to 2000 square feet. Chat to our team today to get advice on the best storage unit size for your specific car(s).
How do I access the Storage Centre?
As a client of Self Storage Centre you will be given a personal pin code this will allow access to both the site and your lockup unit. If you store for business purposes we are able to provide different access codes that restrict access to certain time windows and days of the week . In all instances all access is monitored for security.
How safe is Self Storage Centre?
Very. We’ve invested heavily in our high grade 24/7 CCTV cameras, have secure entry practices, and robust self storage units that are difficult to break into. Our storage units are also located in a low-crime, well-lit area for your peace of mind.
What if I have a problem while at the storage facility?
Ask our staff for Help! We have a super friendly team who are more than happy to assist you with any problems. Additionally we also provide an out of office hours number if you encounter problems when accessing your storage unit outside office hours.
Do you cover insurance?
You may be able to provide your own cover whilst your goods are in storage with us; however we are able to provide a total loss extended liability cover for an additional premium based on the declaration of the value of the effects being stored. Please always feel free to ask our team.
